The final Lay Rally of the Durham District will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Mt. Sylvan UMC. This event, which will begin at 3:00 pm, is for all clergy and lay persons in the district. We are delighted to have Emily Innes as our speaker. Emily is the Conference Lay Leader and the Head of the North Carolina Conference General Conference Delegation. She is an outstanding Lay Leader. Her leadership is being shared with the larger church as she is the Vice President of Women’s Division.
Come and celebrate with the District Board of Laity. We will celebrate the outstanding lay ministries of the district and present scholarships to two outstanding student pastors. The clergy of the district will provide special music. As this will be the last Lay Rally of the Durham District, we will have a roll call of churches. We want every church of the district represented.
